Upon invitation of the Company, Mr. Patrick Mcloughlin from BSS (British Safety Services) has conducted trainings at both sites on process safety management and incident root cause analysis. Great importance was attached to the training which attracted more than 60 participants.

Patrick introduced a highly logical and applicable incident analyzing theory combined with rich cases, and gave the trainees a systematic training. Starting from the definition and types of incidents, he explained how to analyze the direct causes, root causes and system causes of incidents step by step, and then how to prevent incidents from the basic sources.

During the training, Patrick quoted a large number of vivid cases, with his rich sense of humor and thought-provoking questions, which fully aroused the trainees’ desire for knowledge and enthusiasm. The trainees had vigorous discussion on the cases and gradually mastered the methods of analyzing the causes of and preventing incidents under the guidance of Patrick. The trainees have harvested so much in just three days and longed for more.

As Patrick said in the class, safety and production are inseparable. Production without safety is like walking on the edge of a cliff where one may fall into the abyss anytime if not careful. This training not only improved everyone’s safety awareness on a micro level, but also brought new ideas to the company’s safety management on a macro level. After this training, the safety management and operational compliance of the company will surely reach a higher level and build a comprehensive invisible protection wall for daily production and operation.
