THE developer of Ramu Nickel/Cobalt project in Madang, Ramu NiCo Management (MCC) Ltd and Ramu NiCo project landowner security company, Raibus Security Services Ltd (RSSL) today, May 13, 2019 signed a K20 million business contract for another three years.

President of Ramu NiCo, Mr. Gao Yongxue signed on behalf of the Ramu NiCo and witnessed by Charlie Hu, General Manager of Ramu NiCo Corporate Office while Mathew Denguo, RSSL General Manager signed on behalf of RSSL and witnessed by Kenny Kerry, CEO of Raibus Ltd.

The fourth contract since the inception of RSSL in 2007 saw the inclusion of CPI (Consumer Price Index), increase of 5% contract value and increase of manpower from 180 to 185 guards amongst other improvements.

RSSL is a subsidiary landowner company of Raibus Ltd covering the landowners from Kurumbukari Mine in Usino-Bundi, Basamuk Refinery in Rai Coast and the 135 km Pipeline landowners. RSSL provides security services to Ramu NiCo Project,

Other subsidiary companies include NCS – Raibus providing catering services, Raibus Engineering providing engineering services and housekeeping services and Raibus Properties.

During the signing ceremony in Madang, Raibus Ltd with RSSL management and Ramu NiCo management pledged their support to work together for the benefit of the Project landowners in fulfilling Ramu NiCo’s motto, “One Ramu NiCo-One Community”.

Ramu NiCo President, Gao Yongxue said though there are many challenges faced by RSSL, there has been a lot of improvements and Ramu NiCo is proud to support the landowner company as one of its corporate responsibilities towards the landowners.

“RSSL is owned by the landowners and it is Ramu NiCo’s corporate responsibility to support Raibus Security as its in line with Ramu NiCo’s motto, “One Ramu NiCo-One Community”,

“One day, we hope that RSSL can be the best security firm in Madang and PNG so that we can take pride of the landowner company,” Mr. Gao said.

He said the contract value has been improved in line with Ramu NiCo’s corporate responsibility compared with the previous contract though Ramu NiCo continues to face serious financial deficit.

General Manager of Raibus Security, Mathew Denguo thanked Ramu NiCo for the new contract and promised to improve the quality of the security services and asked all landowner companies to work with Ramu NiCo for long term benefits.

Deputy Chairman of Raaibus Ltd, Moses Kumura thanked Ramu NiCo on behalf of all landowner companies for providing business opportunities to landowner since Ramu NiCo arrived in the country in 2006 to develop the project.

“I am proud of Ramu NiCo because if there was no Ramu NiCo then we will not have these business opportunities,”

“Raibus has come a long way and we have pulled out from many challenges. We wish to improve as we go along and ask all of us to work together,”

“If there are any issues then we sit down as a family and talk over the table,” Mr. Kumura said.

General Manager of Ramu NiCo Corporate Affairs, Charlie Hu thanked all parties for negotiating the contract over the last three months and congratulated them for the eventual signing of the new three years term contract.

He said there has been a lot of improvement over the years and urged the security firm to continue on improvising because it assures the security of Ramu NiCo project, its employees and contractors engaged in the nickel/cobalt project.
