Employees of REL, a landowner company contracted to the Ramu NiCo were proud to work serving their clients wearing PNG colors of red, black and gold on September 16, 2018.
The REL employees in Madang work as kitchen hands at the Ramu NiCo operations base in Madang town. The employees were all smiles when they were attired in polo shirts and carried mini flags to serve the mine workers at the Madang Base Catering Center and Madang Inn.
REL kitchen hands assist the chefs at Ramu NiCo Operation Base to prepare meals for both PNG and Chinese employees at the staff hotel and the Madang Inn for transit workers from the Mine and the Refinery. Their Chinese supervisors Xu and Tang also wore PNG colored shirts to celebrate the independence anniversary with their workers.
Ramu NiCo respects PNG’s sovereignty and continues to working positively to promote cooperation with landowners to improve the lives of people in its impacted areas, Madang province and PNG.
