Everyone who can enjoy ordinary life makes me admire. They have their own insistence, even if there are no audiences; the more excellent they are, the more peaceful in their heart. They are not arrogant and impetuous, but very peaceful and active.
Wang Meng, Deputy Superintendent of the Fixed Equipment Maintenance Plant in BSK Refinery is such an example. Despite his age, he is a modest and gentle person and always dependable and prudent in work.
Wang Meng joined Ramu Nico in 2014 and become a member of the Fixed Equipment Maintenance Plant of the BSK Refinery. He is mainly responsible for the overhaul and planned maintenance of the fixed equipment in the main process areas. He starts as a officer, later becomes an engineer, and now got promoted to the Deputy Superintendent, no matter what he do, Wang Meng is always full of energy and motivated.
Wang Meng played an active role in facilitating the localization plan. Limited by language communication barriers, there used to be only a few PNG national employees in his department at the beginning. After Wang Meng conducted many skills trainings for them, now the nationals are able to conduct maintenance for the Wirth feed pump.
Wang Meng always stands by 24 hours for equipment breakdowns. He often goes to work during the night. Although sometimes he feels tired after work, he is happy to see equipment back to normal operation. he said: “I am happy to do more because I am still young. I must set a good example for others. Where there is a pay, there is a gain.”
Wang Meng spends time to summarize the day’s work every day so that the same mistake never be repeated.
When asked what is his expectations for future, Wang Meng said: “work hard, and enjoy every day, do something to make Ramu Nico better.”
