KBK Mine training courses for dogging, rigging, overhead crane and Elevated Work Platform have been completed by Pacific Cranes & Engineering in Mobile Equipment Maintenance Workshop from November 5th to November 11th.

There were a total of 21 participants who were with previous skills attended different courses. 20 of them were deemed to be competent during the time of assessments and will be issued certificates and permits.

Each course was for VOC assessment and took 1 or 2 days for theoretical and practical assessments. The trainer, Mr. Paul Martin, emphasized a lot on how important safety was and how to achieve it during different courses, such as who has a duty of care, how to develop JSA, why and how to do pre-operational, post-start and post-operational checks, how to check, wear and use safety harness for riggers and EWP operators who will work at heights, etc.

All participates have deeper understanding of safety and better control of risks through the training courses, which would further ensure the equipment and production safety of KBK Mine and the Company. These certificates and permits will lay a solid foundation for regulatory compliance of KBK Mine, especially on lifting operations.
