Recently, the PNG Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Roadshow Workshop was held in Madang, focusing on enhancing transparency in benefit-sharing and accountability for mine-derived benefits. Albert, Deputy Manager of Community Affairs (CA), participated in the event on behalf of the Ramu NiCo project.

The PNG EITI delegation, accompanied by Mr. Albert, visited the KBK Mine site to inspect mining technology, environmental management measures, and the Juncao test field. The delegation highly appreciated the innovative initiative of the Ramu NiCo project in introducing Juncao technology for mine ecological reclamation, believing that this practice is forward-looking and has the potential to provide valuable experience for the sustainable development of the mining industry in PNG.

EITI is an international initiative aimed at improving transparency and accountability in the oil, gas, and mineral resources sectors. Papua New Guinea joined the initiative in 2013. The PNG EITI, hosted by the Department of Treasury, has led the technical coordination of EITI implementation.
