Papua New Guinea’s annual industry event, the Resource Week Summit, opened On July 28, 2025, in the capital Port Moresby. PNG Prime Minister James Marape attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, highlighting the importance of this summit to the country’s economic development. Ramu NiCo Management (MCC) Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “RNML”) sent a delegation to attend the summit.

After the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Marape took a group photo with the delegation of RNML, reflecting the PNG government’s great attention and recognition of the Ramu NiCo project.

In the core agenda of the summit, Eric Kuman, General Manager of RNML Community Affair department, delivered an important speech on behalf of RNML, focusing on “Ramu NiCo Project Benefits Sharing “. The content includes “Royalty contributions, business opportunities and local procurement, land compensation, localization and training, community funding and development”. In his speech, Kuman systematically expounded the remarkable results of the Ramu NiCo project in promoting the sustainable development of the local economy and society.

In addition, RNML also arranged a booth to display the company’s situation to the participants.

The PNG Resources Week Summit is expected to last for several days, providing a platform for in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the government, mining companies, investors and community representatives.
